At 26 (she's now 28 by the way), Jolina Magdangal is probably one of the most financially savvy youngstars in show business today. That she has been investing her hard-earned moneywisely is proven by her latest purchase—a 900-square-meter vacation haven inTagaytay.
"Gusto talaga niJolina ng bakasyunan," says Jolina'sfather, Jun Magdangal, the person who makes sure that his daughter's earningsare put to good use.
The family wentup to Baguio for a look-see, but found that the country's summer capital wasalready too congested, besides being far from Jolina's place of work. Then theylearned about a Tagaytay house-and-lot that was up for sale.
"Ito, 45 minutes lang from Manila," says Mr. Magdangal, known in showbiz asDaddy Jun. "Maynadiskubre pa kaming mas shortcut na daan. Kaya pag weekend, napupuntahan talaga namin."
These days, theMagdangals are bent on buying another piece of Tagaytay property, a real farmthis time.
"Pang-businessnaman," says Mr. Magdangal. "Nakitana namin, e. 'Tapos, maggugulay kami."
Jolina also wants to put up a preschool and a bakery. "Gusto ko talaga, day-care [center]," she giggles.
Turning serious, she adds: "May isa paakong gustong gawin—'yong, ano, gagawa ng pandesal?
