A Quezon City court ordered the arrest of comedian and now Bataan Vice- Mayor Teri Onor for allegedly issuing bounced checks last year.

In an article published today in Abante, Noel Abuel reported that Judge Catherine Manodon of the Quezon City Metropolitan Trial Court Branch 43 assigned the Philippine National Police (PNP), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) to arrest the popular comedian, whose real name is Dexter Dominguez.

In February this year, Teri Onor was charged for violating the Anti-Bouncing Check Law after he allegedly issued two checks as payment for a debt amounting at P200, 000. The complainants were Honorico and Ma. Luisa Mariano.

According to the report, Onor issued the two bad checks last March 27, 2006 under a United Coconut Planters Bank (UCPB) account.

Honorico Mariano's court statement said that Onor borrowed P700, 000 from the Marianos on March 3 and March 6, 2006 and promised to pay the amount in three months, with additional interest of P70, 000. The UCPB however refused to accept the checks upon discovering that it has insufficient funds.
