Derek had just returned from Bali, Indonesia, for a family vacation.
In a previous Instagram post, he mentioned working on "something big" soon, and he wanted to spend as much time with his family as he could before getting too busy.
His post read, "How i wish i could spend more time like this with my family.
"Ill be starting something big soon, so i wont be seeing much of them for a while.
"Im very excited for my new opportunity and this vacation is just what i need before i start work again. [smiley emoji]"
