Wendy Valdez admits she gets hurt by what people say about her. But she does not let these remarks affect her and her showbiz career.

Former Pinoy Big Brother second season housemate Wendy Valdez looked different last January 16 at the media junket prepared for the upcoming teleserye Palos at the 9501 Restaurant in ABS-CBN compound. Her complexion is lighter and her hair straighter than before.

Wendy narrated to the entertainment press what she did after her first soap opera Margarita.

The former PBB housemate added that she has been busy with work even though she hasn't been visible on television. "At saka matagal na rin kaming nag-start ng taping sa Palos, it's just that yung airing niya later pa lang."

In Palos, Wendy plays a comic role, in contrast to her serious character in Margarita. So the press asked, "How did she prepare for it?"

She went through some adjustments while she was doing Palos.

It was not too hard for her to adjust from drama to comedy. "Hindi naman siya ganun kahirap na i-adjust from drama to comedy kasi yung mga basic acting natututunan ko naman and nagwo-workshop po ako."

Wendy also said that it did not bother to be offered with a secondary role after top-billing the afternoon teledrama, Margarita.

Also during the presscon, a reporter recalled Wendy's experience during the her stint in PBB, wherein a lot of people hated her negative behavior inside the house. While some dubbed her as the "pasaway" during the reality show, others believed she would not succeed in her showbiz career.

With her second project as evidence of her continuing career, what does Wendy want to tell her detractors?

"Magdasal palagi," replied Wendy. Siyempre tao ako and I feel a lot of things about what's happening, sa mga ginagawa nila sa akin.
