Pop princess Sarah Geronimo is climbing new heights as the newest face of Herbench, a chic and wholesome local clothing apparel with branches here and abroad.

Launched last April 15 at the SM Mall of Asia, the young singer wowed everyone as she entered the stage in an ultra-feminine pink and purple ensemble amidst an outburst of confetti, dancing ice-skaters, and runway models. The stage, built especially for the event, was situated at the mall's skating area and had a well-lit catwalk for the fashion show that was part of the launch.

Sarah sang two originals: "Close To My Heart," a single from her latest album, Taking Flight and "I Still Believe In Loving You" from her platinum album Becoming. She closed the show with "Umbrella," the chart-topping hit popularized by international singer Rihanna. For the finale, models and ice-skaters joined the pop princess as she grooved and moved to the hip melody of the song as if to imbibe the fun and wholesome image of Herbench. An autograph signing for fans and supporters followed soon after.

As the newest endorser of Herbench, Sarah Geronimo joins the likes of Richard Gomez, Lucy Torres, Assunta de Rossi, Kristine Hermosa, Diether Ocampo, Dingdong Dantes, and Pussycat Dolls frontwoman Nicole Scherzinger in the elite circle of Bench image models.

When asked how she felt, the multi-awarded singer exclaimed, "It's indeed an honor and I'm very happy. Finally naging part na rin ako ng Bench. Talagang dream come true!"

The pop princess said that she immediately considered the deal because she believes in the top-selling clothing apparel. "Siyempre po, I personally like Bench ever since nung bata pa ako. Talagang nakakatuwa po na finally nandito na ako sa Bench family."

But Sarah is not the only one who's happy about this newly clinched endorsement deal. Bench owner Ben Chan is equally pleased and calls it a "perfect combination."

"We're very happy that she finally agreed to join the Bench family. She's very talented as a host, singer, and an actress," he shared. "Parang pareho din ng image ng Herbench. Herbench is very wholesome. She's not involved in underwear. We're using her for her wholesome appeal."

Chan admitted that he saw Sarah's potential as an endorser when he met her in an awards show for People's Magazine roughly four years ago. "So I told myself, one day she'll be part of the Bench family," he recalled.

And indeed, with her large billboards strewn across Metro Manila, not to mention her chic posters plastered all over malls nationwide, Sarah is very much a part of the Bench family.

CHAMPION SINGER. Aside from endorsing one of the country's top brands, Sarah is also busy working on a new album, doing concert tours abroad, and hosting ABS-CBN's Sunday noontime show ASAP '08.

Even with her tight schedule, rumors are abuzz that the pop princess will be recording a new single very soon with a member of the ‘90s boyband Backstreet Boys. To this report, she said, "Secret po muna eh. Basta malapit na po. Sa July 25th po ang release ng album."

The pop icon is also hoping to penetrate local cinema with her very own feature film. "Hopefully po, matuloy na ang aking movie. Sana!" she giggled.
