Rhian Ramos laughed when she was asked about the rumors that she was seen kissing one of the remaining Pinoy Idol hopefuls Kid Camaya at the backstage of the reality-based singing contest.
The 17-year-old actress-TV host denied this issue and said that she felt embarrassed towards Kid after it came out. Before the premiere of My Monster Mom last Sunday, June 29,at the Max's Restaurant, SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City, Rhian told PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) how she reacted when she met Kid at the taping of Pinoy Idol.
"Actually, nakita ko si Kid, kasi galing lang ako ng Idol ngayon. And nakita ko doon si Kid and, una sorry lang ako nang sorry sa kanya. Hindi ko siya matingnan kasi, di ba, napaka-awkward na may lumabas na ganung klaseng intriga? So, ‘Kumusta ka na?' 'Tapos nag-sorry talaga ako," Rhian narrated.
Rhian just couldn't understand how such rumor came about—she's not even close to Kid.
Kid seemed to have disregarded the issue. In fact, he told the Pinoy Idol Extra host that he should be the one apologizing to her.
"Alam mo ba, ang bait-bait niya talaga," said Rhian. "Sabi niya, ‘Para sa mga katulad namin, compliment pa nga 'yon, e. Ako 'yong magso-sorry sa 'yo.' Gumaganun pa siya," relayed Rhian.
ON PINOY IDOL DETRACTORS. Meanwhile, Rhian also addressed the people who have been talking negatively about Pinoy Idol.
The young host said that she somehow feels bad about the
negative comments she gets from the viewers. "Kasi sa tingin ko it's unfair expect [Philippine]
Idol with a non-American Idol budget. I mean, doon pa lang, doon para sa mga solid fans ng American
Idol," she explained.
Despite this, Rhian still believes that their show is doing good, so she tries not to get affected by the negative comments of the show's detractors.
In fact, she said, "Actually, sa totoo lang okay naman 'yong ratings, e. Siguro 'yong mga detractors ng [Philippine] Idol, iilan lang, e. 'Yong mga posts, pare-pareho lang naman 'yong mga pangalan ng nagsasabi na hindi siya maganda. I mean, ganun yung tao, kapag nag-decide siya na, ‘Ayaw ko,' kahit pinaganda pa namin, ayaw niya."
She ended, "Kung ako, kung may ayaw ako na show, hindi ko na lang siya papanoorin pero hindi ko rin naman siya sisiraan. Ewan ko, ganun lang naman ako, e, ako 'yon."
