Two words to describe the Metro Manila Film Festival 2004 awards night: Gowns Galore!

Lorna Tolentino, host of the program's first half, was named Liz Claiborne Female Star of the Night. Her classic black gown was given a stylish punch with an off-shoulder accent in jewel tones.

Every year, Filipinos look forward to the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) season. Usually held in December, only the locally-produced movies approved by the jurors of the MMFF will be shown in all cinemas across the country.

But other than the movie entries, MMFF is also characterized by the Parade of the Stars, which happens on the 24th of December, and of course, the awards night.

And awards nights would not be that exciting without the red carpet portion. In 2004, the crowd got swept away by the sight of female stars who came to the awards ceremony.
