Lovi Poe busy with career and studies, says little about Jolo Revilla

Aug 30, 2008
"Like I've said, it's hard to talk about him na, e. All I can say is, okey na kami na ganito," shares Lovi Poe when asked about the status between her and Jolo Revilla.

"I think, I just needed a break for a while. I tried to balance singing and acting at the same time. But then, siyempre, kailangang kayanin. Yun nga lang, one by one," kuwento ni Lovi.

But, definitely, no regrets na pinagsabay niya nga ang pag-arte at pagkanta:

AWAY FROM JOLO.

"Wala namang ganoon. Because for me... siguro hindi ko na lang din masyado nabigyang-pansin yung singing ko. I started with Sony-BMG and I want to continue that. And thankful ako because they are always there for me. And yung concert, isa ito sa mga gustong kong magawa talaga as a singer and I'm given naman this kind of opportunity."

"Yes, yes, that's true. Actually, when I started singing already, siguro, naka-tie-up lang sa akin yung name ng daddy ko [Fernando Poe Jr.] kaya masyadong marami, mabigat. At first, it's very difficult. But I got used to it kasi kung hindi, you'll go crazy talaga," natatawa na lang niyang sabi.

STRONGER. Lovi believes na yung mga intrigang pinagdaanan niya makes her stronger now.

Although, at first, at the beginning, parang...why? Hindi pa nga masyadong nag-sink in sa akin during that time.

"I didn't really realize that it was such a big deal, but then, for me, it's okay. Siguro, mahirap lang talagang i-set aside yung personal life mo sa showbiz. But now, I'm trying my best to do that. It's hard because people will always have something to say, but okay lang din naman sa akin yun because everyone has their own opinion about things."

"I learned that if I have something going on with me, siguro, I'll just keep it to the people who I really trust and who wouldn't actually do anything to hurt me. Because it's not my fault naman na lumabas lahat, I just don't want to elaborate that, but then, right now, I'm okay naman."

STILL IN TOUCH WITH JOLO. When it comes to Jolo Revilla, obviously, mas maingat at mas matipid na itong magsalita, particularly when PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) asked her about their real status.

"Like I've said, it's hard to talk about him na, e. All I can say is, okey na kami na ganito."

May communication pa rin sila?

"Once in a while. I would be lying if I'll say na hindi, but we're okay."

Nangiti si Lovi when PEP asked her kung okey rin kaya sa mommy niya ang ganoong set-up nila ni Jolo. Hindi raw niya alam, pero sila raw ng mommy niya, they are very much okay raw.

"My mom naman is supportive naman ever since, kahit na may mga ganyan. She actually knows naman na I'm passionate with my work and in everything that I do. Kahit sa pag-aaral ko, focused pa rin ako kahit alam niyang nagtatrabaho ako at the same time.

It's like a therapy for me.

"You know what? In this business kasi, you don't know what you're fighting for. If it's your principle in life or your work, it's hard, e. Kasi magkakahiwalay yung prinsipyo mo sa trabaho mo. Actually, mahirap i-swallow, but, it's how you're gonna stay."

BACK TO MARKY.

Since Bakekang, Zaido, Kaputol ng Isang Awit, ‘tapos ngayon."

Bukod pa rito, Lovi will also start filming Rosaryo, kung saan isa siyang rape victim, and a movie by Regal Films, titled Goddess. Huwag nang idagdag na sa kabisihan niya ngayon sa kanyang career, she's still a regular student at Miriam College, taking up A.B. Psychology.
