Former actress Nadia Montenegro corrected her previous statement that she was not interviewed by anyone from Philippine Daily Inquirer about the possibility of filing a case against Cristy Fermin.

Former actress Nadia Montenegro corrected her previous statement to PEP (Philippine Entertainmetn Portal) that she was not interviewed by Marinel Cruz of Philippine Daily Inquirer for her article that came out yesterday, October 17.

In the article titled "Nadia ‘ready for anything,'" Marinel wrote that Nadia is already in talks with her lawyer about the possibility of filing a case against TV-radio host and entertainment columnist Cristy Fermin.

In a text message sent to Ms. Maglipon yesterday, October 17, Nadia denied granting an interview to Marinel or to anybody within the past week. "Hindi ko alam kung saan nakuha ng Inquirer 'yan. Hindi ako nagpapa-interview sa kanila," Nadia said.

But in another text message this morning, October 18, Nadia corrected herself and remembered being interviewed by Marinel last Wednesday, October 15.

Here's the text message of Nadia to Ms. Maglipon:

"Tita, can you please correct the article na I wasn't interviewed by Inquirer? Kawawa naman si Marinel (the writer), nakiusap na parang she invented it. Siguro sa gulo ng utak ko nun, I totally forgot she called me. I was so litong-lito that day. Sorry kung magulo ang utak ko, Tita, but please pakisuyo lang. I remembered talking to Marinel. Thanks."

In the October 5 episode of The Buzz, Cristy claimed that Nadia gave birth to a baby girl about two years ago without the knowledge of Nadia's husband, former Caloocan City mayor Boy Asistio. According to Cristy, the child's father is not Nadia's husband.

Nadia denied Cristy's allegation.

Last October 14, Tuesday, Nadia filed a complaint with the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) against Cristy.

On October 15, ABS-CBN suspended Cristy's TV and radio contracts until December 31, 2008.
