Another prominent actress who made a significant contribution the movie industry will be included in the Walk of Fame Philippines today as one of the shining stars whose name will be permanently inscribed on the grounds of Eastwood, Libis, Quezon City.

Ms. Helen Gamboa, a multi-awarded actress and beauty titlist, will now be among the list of Filipino actors, actresses, and other celebrities that left an exemplary mark in the entertainment industry.

Helen Gamboa's career started in the late '60s. She was the first artist to have successfully crossed over from the recording world to the big screen. She won the Urian Best Actress Award for portraying the role of Flor Contemplacion in 1995.

"I am grateful that they have included me among the many great names in the entertainment industry. I am glad that they have acknowledged my contribution throughout the years. I hope that in my own little way I can serve as an inspiration to the young actors of today," said Helen.

The Walk of Fame Philippines in Eastwood City includes the names of the great icons in the Philippine entertainment, arts, and culture. This is a tribute to their exceptional contribution, timeless appeal, and unwavering passion for their respective craft.

This is patterned after the Hollywood tradition where the names of famous entertainment people of yesterday and today are honored on what is known as the Walk of Fame.

Among the first names that were included in the list of Walk of Fame stars of pre-World War II vintage, where many if not all of whom are dead, shining in another world.
