Another prominent actress who made a significant contribution the movie industry will be included in the Walk of Fame Philippines today as one of the shining stars whose name will be permanently inscribed on the grounds of Eastwood, Libis, Quezon City.
Ms. Helen Gamboa, a multi-awarded actress and beauty titlist, will now be among the list of Filipino actors, actresses, and other celebrities that left an exemplary mark in the entertainment industry.
Helen Gamboa's career started in the late '60s. She was the first artist to have successfully crossed over from the recording world to the big screen. She won the Urian Best Actress Award for portraying the role of Flor Contemplacion in 1995.
"I am grateful that they have included me among the many great names in the entertainment industry. I am glad that they have acknowledged my contribution throughout the years. I hope that in my own little way I can serve as an inspiration to the young actors of today," said Helen.
