"Advantage for me na nakikita ko ang mistakes ng mga ate ko,'yong mga nangyayari sa kanila dahil puro babae kami. So, I don't want to make the same mistakes. So, slowly but sure ang takbo nating lahat,"said the 19-year-old actress during the press conference of her new show, Dragona, held yesterday, December 8 at Gusi Restaurant on Sgt. Esguerra St., QuezonCity.
The young dancer-actress said she wants herdecisions about love to be sure so that she won't regret anything in the end.
"Sa pag-ibig, huwag padalos-dalos,dahan-dahan. Darating naman talaga 'yon,e, at saka mas nakakatakot kasi ang pagsisisi nasa huli, di ba? So 'yon, careful lang po ako."
ON VINA MORALES'S PREGNANCY. Shaina also admitted that she learned a lotfrom her singer-actress sister Vina Morales, who is currently five monthspregnant with her first child by non-showbiz boyfriend Cedric Lee.
Inasmuch as she mentioned her Ate Vina, the entertainment press asked Shaina for an update about her. Shaina happily told the media, "She just got back from the States,e. Okay naman, malaki 'yong tiyan, matakaw."
The news about her sister's pregnancy drew differentreactions, some of which were negative, from showbiz followers and avidfans. How do they show support to herAte Vina?
"Siguro, tina-try namin na parang kung anuman 'yong negativena pumupunta sa kanya ngayon, ginagawa na lang naming positive. We don't think of the negative things. All we think about is we have a new baby, alam mo 'yon, new blessing sa family namin," she said.
Shaina did not hide the fact that she's hurt whennegative issues were thrown at her older sister.
"Siyempre, nahu-hurt po ako kapag nahu-hurt ang sister ko,"she stated. "Pero, 'yon nga, 'yonghappiness naman na nabibigay sa kanya ng ibang tao, hindi ko naibibigay, hindiko kayang tapatan 'yon, di ba? Kungsaan na lang po masaya ang ate ko."
One of the issues that came out was Cedric denying Vina'sfirst child. What was the reaction oftheir family?
Shaina reiterated that her family doesn't want to dwell onthis issue. "We heard aboutthat, pero we're doing our best para lang hindi lang pag-usapan 'yong negativethings. Pero, 'yon nga po, dumaratingat dumarating. 'Yong deny-deny daw naissue, hindi pa yata confirmed 'yon. Ithink, puro mga sabi-sabi, write-up. Ithink, kailangan naming marinig sa kanya mismo," she explained.
What about the reports saying that Cedric's legal wife wasplanning to file a case against her Ate Vina?
Shaina responded with a plea not to make hasty judgmentsabout her sister. Kung maymangyayari mang ganun, we'll see. Kasinga, sabi-sabi lang po, e. Maski ako, personally, hindi ko po alam kung ano ang mangyayari."

Shaina described how the situation brought joy into herAte Vina's life.
"I think this is the highest point in her life right now,e," she said. "The way I see her kasi, every time I see her parang lagi siyang blooming, lagi siyang happy. So, it's the opposite of how peopleinterpret things, e. Parang kung siya, highest point niya; ang mga tao, sinasabi lowest point, ganyan-ganyan."To end the interview, the media asked Shaina aboutbeing pregnant unexpectedly.
