As Gabby Concepcion, his charisma is still indubitable.
When he went to Davao last March 1 for a meet and greet with his fans at the SM Department Store, shoppers went gaga. He was very accommodating and still swoon-worthy, even if he's simply clad in shirt and jeans.
A representative of I/M Clothing, a shirt brand the actor-singer endorses, tells PEP (Philippine Enetrtainment Portal), "Si Gabby is such a great endorser, kahit saan talaga, dinudumog siya. Actually, hindi na nga siya makakain mabuti because every one wants a picture with him."
Prior to that, he had a two-day pictorial for the Summer Collection '09. Shoot began in the afternoon of February 27; then it resumed early the following day so they could catch the sunrise.
As a model, he's a very low-key, no-fuss subject.
Photographer Maan Palmiery would agree with us if we say that Gabby has no "anggulo, kiyeme, and ere."
It was so easy to work with him, and he didn't mind being the PD (production designer) and even PA (production assistant) of their all-woman crew.
Maylyn Dy, who was present during the shoot said, "He even wanted to drive the boat we were on para mas realistic daw yung setting, iniikot niya mabuti yung boat para mas maganda yung backdrop ng mga photos niya hanggang sa paglagay ng sand sa arms niya."
This is perhaps one of the reasons why his photos with I/M have been a runaway success.
"Inaabangan [talaga ang photos] because kung ano yung suot niya sa picture yun yung gustong bilhin. And good news, I/M will come out with plus sizes and kids sizes soon," quipped Maylyn.
