"Pag nararamdaman kong sumisipa siya, parang, malapit mo na akong makita, relax ka lang diyan," said Vandolph in his interview with Startalk this afternoon, April 4.
More than two years after their solemn wedding ceremony held last December 3, 2007, Vandolph Quizon and Jenny Salimao have another reason to celebrate. Soon, the couple will welcome Vito, their forthcoming son, into their life.
A baby shower was held on April 4, and attended by Jenny's G-Girls group members, her manager, Vandolph's cousins on his mother's side, and some relatives on his father's side.
MAMA NESS GIVES ADVICE. Alma Moreno, Vandolph's mother, refuses to be called Lola and prefers "Mama Ness".
She shared her feelings about the new addition to the family, "Sobrang saya ko dahil nakikita ko sa mukha ni Vandolph at ni Jenny na sobrang excited, at nakita ko si Vandolph kung paano niya alagaan si Jenny. Excited na talaga sila magka-baby."
Mama Ness also assured the couple that she'll always be there for them. Her motherly advice: "Laging magmahalan...Laging kong sinasabi kay Van, 'Huwag masyadong mainit ang ulo, huwag masyadong maging seloso.'
"Kay Jen, alagaan niya si Van nang mabuti, kumbaga siya na ngayon, 'yan na ang pamilya niya. Yun ang pakiusap ko kay Jenny, intindihin niya din si Vandolph. Magkaintindihan sila lagi. Walang problemang hindi maso-solve."
At this point, Alma feels so blessed. "Basta masaya ako. Masaya ako sa buhay ko lalo na sa mga anak ko ngayon. Sa career ni Mark [Anthony Fernandez], si Vandolph magiging Tatay and okay naman ang career niya.
"Sa akin din, as a councilor, okay naman ako. Busy... sobrang saya ko. Busy kasi umiikot ako kasi, national secretary general ako."
VANDOLPH TO MAMA NESS. The former child star expressed his gratitude to his mom for her support and advice.
"Mama Ness, Ma, thank you sa lahat. Thank you so much. We love you. Si Mama, hindi pa namin pinaplano yung baby, nagbibigay na ng tips kung pa'no pagka-baby."
And the young dad's message for Vito, "Magkikita na tayo soon kaya dun na lang tayo mag-usap. Ibinulong ko naman sa iyo ever since ang mga gusto ni Daddy for you."
For her part, Jenny said that after giving birth, she will truly miss the baby kicking inside her womb.
