PEP EXCLUSIVE: Gabby Concepcion gives details of his photo session with Sharon Cuneta and daughter KC

Gabby Concepcion says his reunion movie with Sharon Cuneta is "all speculations" at this point. But just in case it pushes through, PEP asks: What genre would it be? "Comedy," he answers quickly. "Konting comedy, may konting action, may drama...parang yung movie niya with Rudy [Fernandez] at Bong [Revilla]."

Almost 17 years after their last film, former screen partners Gabby Concepcion and Sharon Cuneta got the chance to work together again, albeit for less than "one hour" and in just one scene.

Yes, Gabby's cameo role in BFF (Best Friends Forever) was shot in the presence of his ex-wife, together with Ai-Ai delas Alas.

But he clarified, "Wala kaming eksena na nagsasagutan, nagtatanungan, walang ganun. We were just in one shot, yun."

The scene was shot in an amusement park. Gabby elaborated, "Tumayo na ako dun sa roller coaster, naghihintay, 'tapos may tumawag sa akin. Napatingin ako, that's the shot. 'Tapos may shot din dun na nag-uusap silang dalawa, that's one full shot, na ako yung nasa background."

As mentioned earlier, he didn't say anything in the movie, but prior to the take, he had a "dialogue" with the Megastar. PEP prodded him to tell more.

"Ako yung una," he began. "When I got there, and they found out I was there, kinunan ako. Kasi may lakad din ako that day.

"Nagpa-makeup muna and all that, 'tapos kinunan lang ako. Yung kuwentuhan, in the middle of all that. Nagkita kami, pero backstage. Sa dressing room, dun kami nag-usap."

What did they talk about?

Gabby answered, "Ipinakita sa 'kin yung mga videos. Meron pa ngang video ipinakita si Sharon sa akin, the video that I took when she was alone, giving birth kay KC. Ako kumuha nun, e. Siyempre, wala sa akin yung video na yun, e. Binigay ko sa kanila lahat, e, and up to now, wala akong pictures."

Aside from the brief chat with his ex-wife, he also had a photo session with Sharon and their daughter KC Concepcion.

Casually, he mentioned, "Picture-taking kami...Sa set, nag-picture taking pa kami. It was an opportunity, e. Then I was given instructions na mag-uumpisa na."

His only regret, though, was that he didn't have his camera phone with him that time. Continuing his story, "No phone with me, so yun, wala akong kopya. Wish I could have a copy."

It wasn't exactly a chance meeting. Sharon knew he was arriving because, according to Gabby, "prior to the invitation, I was told na she was told first." He added, "That's the only reason I accepted that cameo role, kasi, okay siya."

He's also glad that the chat, picture-taking, and brief shoot didn't have any trace of awkwardness at all. And guess who was the happiest that day? None other than their daughter KC. Gabby said, smiling, "She was excited. She was game. Galing!"
