Living the single life can be lonely too in the long run. And that applies even to model-actress KC Concepcion.
At the press conference held today, November 17, at Annabel's restaurant on Tomas Morato, Quezon City, the daughter of Megastar Sharon Cuneta and '80s matinee idol Gabby Concepcion hinted at her desire to be in a relationship. She remained coy though in revealing the lucky guy's identity.
"I'd love to take care of someone right now. But in terms of marriage parang no na muna. I want to take care of someone but we also have a lot of work right now... It's a blessing, you accept and you take it for what it is as it comes," KC told members of the entertainment press who came to witness KC's latest partnership with Swatch watches Philippines.
The team-up campaign billed KC Cares. Swatch Shares. falls in line with KC's charity work as ambassador for the United Nations World Food Program (WFP). For every purchase of the watch brand's Fall/Winter 2009 collection, an agreed percentage will be allotted to the WFP's campaign against hunger and malnutrition.
TESTING MR. RIGHT'S METTLE. Despite her celebrity status, KC said she's just like any ordinary girl when it comes to selecting a potential boyfriend.
"Siyempre, sometimes girls test guys, di ba, so kung medyo hindi sila naba-bother sa mga bagay-bagay and then nandun pa din sila no matter what," offered KC. She was obviously referring to a guy's ability to withstand intrigues and lack of time, which are part of her life in showbiz.
She's had her fair share of heartbreaks and disappointments in the past. Yet KC remains cool and open to possibilities.
"I don't want to expect and I don't want to rush things," she said. "I will go with the flow. You'll never know naman e, what life has in store for you."
One trait that KC looks for in a potential boyfriend is sincere enthusiasm for her charity endeavors.
"Dapat po manggaling sa puso niya," smiled KC, who is wary of any suitor putting his best foot forward just to impress her. "Ayoko naman i-dictate 'yon [to help others], kung sino man siya."
