Rumors began circulating that Princess Snell had already posed for FHM Philippines in its August 2008 issue even before she joined StarStruck V, as opposed to her statement on Startalk last week that she has never posed for a men's magazine [CLICK HERE for the story].
Then the photo of a certain Marjorie Corwin who strongly resembled Princess was found in the inside pages of the said issue.
On Showbiz Central yesterday, January 31, Princess finally told the truth.
YES, IT'S HER. She said, "Yes, nakapag-pose na ako sa men's mag.
"Noong ginawa ko 'yong photo shoot na 'yon, e, it was for my folio. And at some point, nag-yes ako noong time na 'yon.
FHM 's associate publisher Richard Rosario confirmed this.
"That was somewhere around 2008," he said. "Princess Snell and this person are one and the same. Iisang tao lang ito."
Richard proceeded to explain the magazine's protocol on booking models such as Princess: "Mayroon instance na FHM directly ang magko-course or magko-contact ng model para sa photo shoot. Pangalawa is mayroon kaming mga contributory photographers sa magazine namin and on grounds of good authority, binibigyan namin ng pahintulot ang mga photographers na ito to contract on their own, on behalf of the magazine, to look for models na gusto rin mag-pose. In the case of Princess naman, ang nangyari si Jay Tablante [ace photographer] ang nakapag-book kay Princess."
Richard assured the public that Princess' inclusion in the issue was made with her consent..
NO BIG DEAL. For Princess, it was no big deal to do those sexy poses. It was all part of her work as a model, she said.
"Noong time I posed for it, okay lang sa akin. It's a project and trabaho ko 'yon.
On the other hand, she apologized to her fans and to the people who got involved for not telling the truth right away.
LIVE INTERVIEW WITH PRINCESS. Raymond Gutierrez's first question to Princess on Showbiz Central was, does she regret doing the photo shoot?
"I'm proud that I did that photo shoot," Princess said. "Hindi siya bastos and I'm proud that I'm sexy. Iyon lang 'yon."
Having denied the truth at first and then finally admitting it, does she think her actions may have a big impact on her career as an actress and model?
"Kasi 'yong two-piece nga na 'yon, e hindi siya bastos and I can do that. I don't have limitations.
Would she pose for a popular men's magazine again?
Without hesitation, the StarStruck V Avenger answered, "Kung maganda ang concept, why not?"
