Ginagalingan ko na lang lahat ng ginagawa ko," Kim Chiu stated when asked if she has fears of losing her share of spotlight someday.

Kim Chiu was surprised by a blind item concerning her and onscreen partner Gerald Anderson, which she just read after they arrived from the Heartthrobs concert tour in the States recently. According to the blind item, two young stars were caught kissing at the fire exit of a hotel in Boracay. As it turned out, the blind item was referring to Kim and Gerald.

"'Yong kakauwi ko lang from the States, may fire exit something na nabasa ako. Ka-OA-an naman 'yon!" reacted Kim during the birthday press conference prepared for her by Star Magic yesterday, April 13, at 9501 restaurant of ABS-CBN in Quezon City.

Kim, who will turn 20 on April 19, further said, "Siyempre, nakakahiya kasi 'yong nabasa ko sa fire exit nagki-kiss-kiss daw kami.

Instead of wasting her time on the rumor, Kim just ignored the issue.

The former Pinoy Big Brother housemate also admitted that she can't do anything to stop people from spreading such incorrect reports.

BECOMING MORE MATURE. Kim's way of handling this kind of issue shows that she has already matured. And this is one of the characteristics she likes to have as she turns 20 on Monday.

In her four years in show business, the Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo star realizes the importance of her job.

PBB TEEN CLASH OF 2010. Last Saturday, April 10, the third installment of Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition officially started. And when Kim had the chance to watch it the following day, she fondly recalled the days when she was still a teen housemate.

The first PBB Teens winner said, "Napanood ko siya noong Sunday, okay naman. Nakaka-miss kapag naririnig ko 'yong theme song, 'yong "Kabataang Pinoy." Parang, 'Hay, galing ako diyan.' Parang four years ago, 16 years old ako. Ngayon 20 years old na ako."

What advice would she give to the current batch of teen housemates?

"Ipakita nila kung sino sila," she stressed.

Doesn't she feel threatened because there is another set of teen housemates who could possibly be an addition to the showbiz industry?

Kim replied, "Wala naman. Siyempre, maraming gustong mag-artista.

Although Kim admits that being a celebrity is not a lifetime status, she is still grateful for everything she has achieved so far.
