Their accomplishments—big or small— should not go unnoticed.
Our very own Pinays in the entertainment industry have been making us proud with their feats over the past few years.
Take Lea Salonga, for example, whose acclaimed status in theater has earned her local and international fame, not to mention respect for her duties as World Vision Ambassador for Child Sponsorship. The world-class performer has also earned the nod of her countrymen as the 2nd Most Trusted Public Personality in the Philippines.
There's Iza Calzado, whose performance in the international remake of the suspense thriller film Sigaw has captured the attention of Hollywood. The talented Kapuso actress is also a devoted and active supporter of breast-cancer awareness campaigns.
Daphne Oseña-Paez, regardless of her busy schedule as a full-time mom and TV personality, has also strived for the common good and was appointed UNICEF Special Advocate for Children.
And, of course, Judy Ann Santos made use of her status by helping the needy via her Touch a Heart Foundation.
Female Network recognizes these inspiring stories of Pinays who are shining examples of what women can achieve thru Womanity Awards. Categories include entertainment, the arts, advocacies, fashion, public service, and sports.
Nominations will be open up to July 31. The selected finalists will be featured on Female Network's site, and winners will be selected through voting. The awardees will be announced on November 15.
