Actress and Showbiz Central guest host Carmina Villarroel was comfortable in the hot seat of the show's "Behind the Wall" segment yesterday, June 13. The mother of twins faced some juicy questions from unidentified "Special Informants" and gave equally juicy answers as well.
The upbeat Carmina looked excited as she listened to the monotone greetings of the informants.
"Oh, my God, sino kaaaa?!" she asked, thrilled, on hearing their greetings.
BB GANDANGHARI. Laughter met the first informant's question.
"Carmina sa totoo lang, para sa iyo, sino ang mas maganda, si BB Gandanghari o ikaw?" BB Gandanghari, as most people know, is the new name and persona of Rustom Padilla, Carmina's ex-husband.
After the guffaws died down, she answered, "Siyempre, sasabihin ko na ako, di ba? Actually, tinatanong niya kung sino ang mas maganda. So, siyempre, sasabihin ko na ako kasi mahal ko ang sarili ko. Maganda din siya, pero basta ako, ang sagot ko, 'yon na!"
Rumor has it that BB is copying Carmina's style when it comes to clothes and makeup. What can she say about this?
"Iba ang look niya at look ko sa pananamit, ha!" she said. "Siguro kaya lang nila nasasabi, is because maputi siya at ako, tapos girl siya...at girl din ako..."
"Speakingof BB, kailan kayo huling nag-usap at nagkita na ba kayo?" asked the second informant.
"Hindi pa kami nagmi-meet at nagkikita ever," Carmina answered.
Is she open to meeting up with BB?
"Hindi naman ako gagawa ng paraan para manawagan at magkakilala kami," exclaimed Carmina. "If ever makita ko siya sa corridor, e, I will say 'Hi'. Wala namang rason para magiwasan kami, e, dahil hindi naman kami magkakilala kasi BB Gandanghari na siya, di ba?"
Will it bother her if ever BB meets Carmina's family?
"'Anak, this is tita BB Gandanghari!'" said Carmina. "Like I said, hindi ko kasi pinaplano ang mga ganyan, e. Pag nangyari ang ganoon at hindi naman ako bastos, e, ipapakilala ko siya sa kids ko at sa family ko."
ZOREN & RUFFA. The third question concentrated on her husband Zoren Legaspi.
The informant asked, "Totoo ba na kahit isang dekada na kayong happily loyal and committed ni Zoren sa isa't isa, hanggang ngayon hindi mo pa rin nakakalimutan ang sweet na 'sweet' na tawagan noon ni Ruffa [Gutierrez] at Zoren?"
"Paano ko naman hindi makakalimutan, e, siyempre magkasabayan kami!," laughed Carmina. "Noong time na sila ni Zoren, siyempre, kami ang magkabarkada that time, so alam ko ang tawagan nila dati. Not at all...pero alam ko ang mga nangyari sa kanila in the past, like iyong akyat-akyat ni Zoren sa bakod sa White Plains."
As a final note, Carmina said that these pet names of her husband and Ruffa back in the day do not bother her at all. "Magkumare kami at kahit hindi kami nagkikita, e, in touch kami in text," she said.
SEPARATION FROM RUSTOM. That said, it was time to guess the three informants. After listening to the clues, she guessed Jeff Robles, Candy Pangilinan, and Gelli de Belen. Her second guess turned out wrong though and she freaked out when she had to answer the Ultimate Question.
"Ack!" she cried. "Puwede ko ba hindi sagutin?"
When given a no as answer, she cried, "Kailangan kong sagutin?"
Carmina could not help herself as the question read, "Totoo ba na kaya kayo biglaang naghiwalay ni Rustom Padilla noon ay dahil even then, na-discover mo na may tendency na siyang maging BB Gandanghari one day?"
"Magbabalik po ang Showbiz Central!" joked Carmina. Then she explained, "No. Ang rason kung bakit naghiwalay kami with the late Rustom. It's not true. Seriously, hindi talaga 'yon. Hindi 'yon ang rason kung bakit kami naghiwalay. Bahala kayo kung ayaw n'yo maniwala sa akin.
"That time, I was so young. Kung ano man sinasabi ng mga tao dati at sa intriga sa kanya dati, e, kung ako kasi pag tinanong kita at sinagot mo ako, e, tatanggapin ko ang sagot mo. So, ganoon akong klaseng tao. Sabi ko noon sa reason kung bakit kami naghiwalay, e, iyon pa rin ang reason ko ngayon."
