Former Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Clash of 2010 housemates Fretzie Bercede and Bret Jackson did not disappoint their avid followers as they appeared on their first fans' day last night, August 17, at Discovery Suites, Ortigas Center, Pasig City.
The second runner-up Pinoy housemate and fifth runner-up teen-ternational housemate, brought some "kisay" (another term their followers use for "kilig") feeling to their fans, collectively known as BretZie Bunnies, when they arrived together at the venue wearing "modern glam rock" outfits.
According to one of their fans named Zim, the event was really organized for BretZie but it was also a get-together for their followers who came from different places. Fans abroad showed their support for the event and for BretZie by sending their video greetings, which were shown during the program.
Fretzie and Bret were both overwhelmed by their fans' efforts in putting the event together.
"Amazing! You can feel the love," exclaimed said the 19-year-old Bret, who has just started his VJ stint on the local music channel MYX. "It really shows how organized our fans are and how supportive they are. For me, they really are like a family."
Ever since they got out of Big Brother's house, 16-year-old Fretzie said she and Bret have built a good relationship with their followers. "Sobrang close [kami sa kanila]," she said.
Bret added that showing up on special gatherings like this is their only way to repay the kindness their fans have bestowed on them even while they were still inside the PBB house.
"This is only what we can do for them because every time we have events, they're always there with banners and everything," he said.
Like their supporters, Fretzie and Bret were also hoping that this would be a sign of better things to come.
"It really shows that BretZie is something they look out for in the future. Also, I heard they wrote Precious Hearts Romances book about us, with our name. So, hopefully that turns into, you know, one of those telenovelas," said Bret about their fans' expectations.
Fretzie and Bret's fellow housemates—big winner James Reid, second placer Ryan, and fourth placer Devon Seron—were there to celebrate fans' day too.
Right now, Bret is busy with his job on MYX. Fretzie confirmed that she will be part of a youth-oriented show on ABS-CBN.
