Whenever Sarah Geronimo graces the cover of Preview magazine, one can't help but do a double take.
In October 2008, Sarah donned the Fall/Winter collection of Burberry, which was flown in especially for the shoot, and and gave her a dark, almost Gothic look. She returns to the cover this September, now as a goddess in golden outfits inspired by the latest collection of Versace.
Editor-in-chief Pauline Juan says, "We chose Sarah to grace this month's cover not only because she is a star who has proven herself at the box office, but also because she loves to experiment with fashion."
Contributing fashion editor Liz Uy agrees, "Away from the camera, Sarah gravitates towards simple and conservative pieces. This is why it was such a joy to dress her up during the shoot—she was game to wear everything."
The outfits chosen for the pictorial highlight Sarah's curves and show off her model-like stature. "Sarah has become more womanly since we last had her on our cover in 2008," says Liz, "She's also tall and has beautiful long legs."
As for her makeup, the Preview team used a bronze palette to highlight Sarah's distinctly Filipino looks. Liz says, "Sarah's makeup is usually very fresh and beautiful, so we wanted to make her look different for this shoot."
Sarah's excitement over her Preview cover shows, as she says, "Doing magazine covers is so much fun; you get to see yourself in other looks and you get surprised when you see na, uy, puwede pala maging ganyan yung itsura ko."
Liz is also a fashion inspiration for Sarah. "When I see AteLiz styling other actresses, na-i-inspire dinakoto improve my style," she says.
