Xyriel Manabat turns seven with Hello Kitty-themed party

"At the age of two years old, gumagaya na siya sa mga commercials. Like yung mga Nido, ginagaya na niya yung... kung ano yung ginagawa ng mga kids dun, ginagaya na niya sa harap ng salamin," says Dianne Manabat, mom of Xyriel Manabat about her daughter's inclination for show business.

She sits there like a princess, dressed in this pink long gown. At times, she would cheerfully welcome a familiar face with a hug and a peck on the cheek.

At idle times, she would be goofing around with the kids, just like any other kid.

And then we asked her, "Can we interview you?"

She smiled and said politely, "Sige po. Pero pakitanong po muna sa manager ko."

She's not an ordinary kid, after all. She was this little one who you may have seen at ABS-CBN's Tiny Tony and Betty La Fea.

But she is more popular with the roles she played as the young Agua and Bendita in Agua Bendita. And, of course, as Momay in the teleserye Momay.

She is Xyriel Manabat and she just turned seven!

Her real birth date falls on January 27. But the preparations and arrangements permitted to have the party afternoon of Sunday, February 20, at the Atrium of Newport Mall, Resorts World, Pasay City.

It was a party any kid or kid-at-heart- would envy. Unlimited ice cream, lots of balloons, body-painting booths, magic and puppet shows. Add to that seven cakes and a goodie bag for the guests!

With Hello Kitty as the theme of the party, the color pink dominated the place.

Of course, a party wouldn't be complete without the guests.

Gracing the event are Xyriel's friends and co-stars in the teleseryes she has done. Some of the guests who are spotted are Tonton Gutierrez and wife Glydel Mercado with daughter Aneeza, Valerie Concepcion with daughter Heather Fiona, Andi Eigenmann, Matteo Guidicelli, Dominic Ochoa, Miles Ocampo, brothers Maliksi and Makisig Morales, Melissa Ricks, among others. When asked about her birthday wish, Xyriel exclaimed without batting an eye, "More projects and more blessings."

After a brief pause, she grimaced and said, "Kung mayaman na mayaman na po kami, gusto ko pumunta sa India. Para po makakita po ng ibang klaseng mga tao."

To our surpise, we asked Xyriel who told her about India.

"Kaibigan ko po na nakapunta na dun," the precocious kid answered.

Followed it up by asking who that friend is, Xyriel laughed and innocently said, "Hindi ko na po matandaan, e."

Well, amidst all her showbiz achievements and the glamour that comes with it, Xyriel is still a kid who is simply charming.
