After a week, muling humarap sa media si Sharon Cuneta last Saturday, December 4, para sa official launch ng Celebrations by Sharon: Home and Entertaining Collection, sa SM North Edsa The Block.
Hindi isang show, kundi licensing line ng mga produkto named after Sharon ang inilunsad—tulad ng cooking and baking wares, herbs, stationery, at utensils.
Kaiba sa nakagawian, na nagpe-perform si Sharon to promote an album or a movie theme song, this time ay naroon ang fans ng Megastar at mga taga-media kaugnay ng iba pang talent ng singer-actress, tulad ng cooking at baking.
Sa ginagawang lifestyle show at pagkakaroon ng sariling product licensing line, Sharon is like the famous American lifestyle TV show host, Martha Stewart.
"Kasi it's my passion...my real passion.
"Some people nga, when they see the show, think, 'Yeah, it's really what we do!'
"And that's where I'm most happy!"
COFFEE SHOP BUSINESS. Sa Q & A with PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and other members of the press ay nabanggit din ang pag-put up ni Sharon ng isang coffee shop sa isang bahagi ng bubuksang bagong salon ng kaibigan niyang makeup artist-actor na si Fanny Serrano.
Sharon shares na Fanny's new salon is located at a property she owns on Tomas Morato in Quezon City.
Mahilig mag-business si Sharon kaya maiisip na, eventually, she'll operate a business, tulad ng isang restaurant, on a large scale. Dati na rin siyang nag-put up ng boutique named after her firstborn KC—ang Krista Boutique.
But Sharon isn't so keen on the idea, in favor of singing and acting.
"No! Cooking is just one of my passions, but that is not what makes me passionate about my bank account!" natatawang banggit ng Megastar sa tanong ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) about the possibility of her singing-acting taking a back seat once she seriously ventures into business.
Tawa nang tawa si Sharon as she shares her thoughts with her guests.
Then, she added, "What makes me passionate, of course, are the movies, the concerts...
"So, pagka minsan, ang feeling ko, 'Abala naman itong taping na 'to, gusto kong mag-bake!' O, pag nasa kusina, 'Abala 'tong pagluluto!'"
Then she does what she thinks she'd most likely enjoy at the precise moment, given the time according to her schedules.
"Of course, I'm really grateful...feel so blessed! I still love doing the shows!" sabi rin ni Sharon.
Sa ginagawa niyang shows ay nae-enjoy naman niya ang marami niyang hilig, tulad ng pagluluto at pagbi-bake (sa Sharon At Home) at paghu-host sa TV na tumutuklas ng singing talent (sa Star Power: Sharon's Search for the Next Female Pop Superstar).
UPDATES. "Yes! I'm very, very happy!" exclaimed Sharon when PEP asked if she's happy with her two shows.
"My lifestyle net show is the offshoot of my magazine, Sharon At Home. It's still on every Saturday, 6:30 p.m. on the Lifestyle network, with several replays; and Star Power, which will be on until February 20 [next year].
"And, of course, pag payat na ako, I'll be hosting The Biggest Loser.
"The Biggest Loser (Pinoy Edition) is starting next year, around January. So, sana, sabay-sabay kaming pumayat.
"I empathize perfectly with them [contestants]. I know the struggle, that's hard!
"After 40 [years old] kasi, the important thing is to be fighting and never lose hope.
"Sabi nga, 'the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.'
"So, you have to start it. Ang pinakamahirap lang, mag-umpisa.
"So I will encourage my biggest loser contestants.
"It's when a celebrity, a public person, becomes an inspiration.
"Naku, sana naman!" asam ni Sharon.
COMING HOME.
"I wanna go home. I wanna visit home.
HOLIDAY PLANS.
"Siguro, last year, kasi kumpletung-kumpleto kami.
"My son, Miguel, arrived November 1 last year.
"All my children were there. It was very simple, very family-oriented.
"This Christmas, probably, will be more fun kasi he's one year old na, e.
"I'm so excited to show him to you, pero wala pa siyang papers.
"Inaayos naman. We're going through the legal procedures, walang short cuts."
