"I don't want to say but I've gone through this for the third time. My first was with my mom and my own wife [Liezl] then my brother [William, inset]. I've being going through an emotional tornado for the past two years," says Albert Martinez about health problems in the family.

Albert Martinez opened up about the condition of his younger brother William Martinez during the press conference of Rosario held last night, December 13, at the Area 05 Bar in Tomas Morato, Quezon City.

William suffered from a stroke last November 22 and was rushed to the ICU of St. Luke's Medical Center.

Albert says about his brother William, "He looks good, he looks great. Nasa bahay na siya, he's doing very well."

"Maayos naman [ang lakad niya], pero alam naman natin pag sinabi mong stroke, meron kang ite-train uli. Para kang grade school uli nun."

Albert continues to support for his younger brother.

"More than anything, he needs emotional support now. Yung ibang bagay, material lang yun, e. Sa sitwasyon na ito, it's all about the emotional support."

Does he believe that this medical condition is related to William's separation from Yayo Aguila, his wife of 25 years?

"Hindi natin alam. Stroke is caused by many elements...hindi natin alam talaga kung ano ang cause nun. But it's a combination of many things.

"Meron ngang tao na super healthy pero nagkaka-stroke pa rin," points out Albert, the director of the Metro Manila Film Fest entry Rosario.

Does William plan to leave showbiz?

"Hindi...buhay niya yun, e. Mundo ni William yun. Siguro yun ang ikamamatay ng tao pag tinanggal niya yun. That's impossible," he declares.

What was his reaction when he learned that his brother was rushed to the hospital?

"I don't want to say but I've gone through this for the third time. My first was with my mom and my own wife [Liezl] then my brother. I've being going through an emotional tornado for the past two years," admits Albert.

How does Albert surpass these challenges in his life?

"I have to be strong. I'm the eldest and I have to take care of a lot of people. Somebody needs to take charge and be in control. Dapat may makagawa ng tamang desisyon."
