"I always say in my interviews na mahal ko ang Pilipinas. I love the people here and I want to be a Filipino, too. I consider this my second home, not just because I have work here but I have lots of friends here as well. I am already used to everything Filipino. And I want to be called Pinoy na rin," says Akihiro Sato.

"Bali is very beautiful and I enjoyed my favorite sport surfing over there," sambit niya.

"Matagal na kasi akong hindi nakapag-surfing and that was my opportunity to take a break and enjoy my sport.

"But it was not all vacation because I also went to see different agencies in Bali.

"So, it's a working vacation for me there as well. But I was able to rest and enjoy the place.

"Now I am here and ready to work. I miss the Philippines a lot and I have lots of work ready for the new year," masayang kuwento ni Aki.

VACATION IS OVER.

"The vacation is over and it's time to work," nakangiting sabi ni Aki.

"I am so happy that I became part of Captain Barbell.

"I miss acting and I will be taking up acting workshops to improve my speech and, of course, my acting.

"I want to learn and understand more words in Tagalog. I know a lot now, but I want to learn more since I want to become a Filipino."

BECOMING FILIPINO.

"I always say in my interviews na mahal ko ang Pilipinas. I love the people here and I want to be a Filipino, too.

"I consider this my second home, not just because I have work here but I have lots of friends here as well.

"I am already used to everything Filipino. And I want to be called Pinoy na rin.

"So I am working on some documents together with my manager [Jonas Gaffud], so I can get my wish to be Pinoy," saad niya.

THREE-MILLION CASH PRIZE.

"So I don't have big plans yet for it, not until I have it.

"But I always say that I'm going to buy a car because that's what I have been saving for to buy.

"And part of the money will go to my charity work to Gawad Kalinga.

"I have been helping the people of Gawad Kalinga to build houses and provide them with building materials.

"With the amount that I will donate to them, it will build lots of houses for many Filipinos. Para marami ang may bahay."

BMW GIFT?

Pero ayon kay Aki, "I heard that rumor and it's not true that my friend will gift me with a BMW.

"This friend of mine is working as a PR of BMW and she said that she will let me borrow a car whenever I need it until I get my own car.

"Borrow lang and not bigay!" tawa pa niya.

Dagdag ni Aki, "I don't think that she will give me one because BMW is too expensive. It's okay that I just borrow and give it back after I use it."

CHRISTMAS WITHOUT HIS FAMILY. Medyo magiging malungkot daw ang Pasko ni Akihiro ngayon dahil hindi siya makakauwi sa Brazil in time for Christmas. Ito raw ang second time na hindi siya nakauwi for Christmas sa kanila.

"The first time was last year. I was in Hong Kong and I had work," banggit niya.

"I was working through the holidays and I wasn't able to fly back home to Brazil to be with my family.

"And now, this is the second Christmas I am not home.

"I also have work here and I might miss the opportunities if I suddenly fly back home. It's really about making big sacrifices for yourself and your family.

"I might just spend Christmas with my family through Skype. Everything is possible to communicate and see your love ones this Christmas."

"We are also Catholic and what you do on Christmas here is the same in Brazil.

"We also attend midnight mass, which we call missa da meia-noite.

"Our Christmas feast that you call Noche Buena is called consuada in Brazil.

"We all gather around and greet one another 'Feliz Natal,' which is Merry Christmas in Portuguese.

"So I am looking forward for a masayang Pasko dito sa Pilipinas.

"Even if I am away from my family, they know how much I love and miss them. I will see them very soon."

AKIHIRO'S GIRL.

"I am a lucky man to have her as my girlfriend. She's very supportive and a very nice girl.

"I am happy that she decides to be with me here in the Philippines for Christmas. She wants to experience Christmas here.

"But we also have other plans. We might go to Siargao Island for Christmas.

"She knows how much I love surfing and she enjoys watching me surf. So those are some of our plans for the Holidays."

Gusto raw niya ay ready silang dalawa emotionally, financially, and spiritually bago sila pumasok sa kasalan.

"Getting married is another level in a relationship," sabi niya.

"We are taking things slowly. We don't want to rush on things.

"She knows that I have a career to do good on and she also [has] her own life to enjoy.

"Right now, we're okay and we're happy. We want to see how far this will take us.
