Bing Loyzaga, who often portrays villainness roles, is known for being straightforward. She may seem mataray to most people, but according to her daughter Alyssa, "She's a super cool mom."
During this ambush interview by PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal), mother and daughter look like they're "mag-barkada lang."
"Talaga?" is the one-liner quip of the lady whose brothers, Joey and Chito, were popular PBA players back in the '80s.
Her eldest child with Janno Gibbs interjects: "It's a compliment when they say magkamukha kami."
BING'S SECRET TO STAYING YOUNG. Aside from good genes, "maraming kinalaman si Dra. Vicki Belo," says the mother of two.
To stay fit, she follows a "proper diet," exercises regularly and does yoga.
But her best age-defying weapon is "you have to love and take care of yourself."
Despite the ups and downs of her very public married life, Bing has survived the worst and managed to keep things together.
She has always found joy in being a mom. Now that her kids—Alyssa and Gabby—are all grown up, "Baligtad na... They're very open with me, especially Alyssa. I even tell her my problems instead of the other way around."
She says bonding with her children keeps wrinkles at bay. "I spend a lot of time with them. We go to the mall, to Rockwell..."
But their best bonding moments are at home, where they can "talk about anything."
Bing explains, "Besides going out, I spend a lot of time talaga talking with them about anything under the sun. And when I say anything under the sun, I mean anything under the sun."
For her part, Alyssa says, "I'm lucky because she had me when she was really young. So yung age gap namin hindi as layo as other moms and daughters. We're really friends."
When asked if there's one thing she would want to change in her life, Bing shakes her her head and smiles.
"Alyssa and Gabby? Nagpapasalamat na lang ako sa Diyos, sila ang binigay sa akin. Kasi you cannot ask for anyone better," she says.
