"I've been playing extreme characters kasi and the role of Joel is a breather for me. For a change, medyo shy type tayo sa I ♥ You Pare.

"It's a much lighter and friendlier side of myself," ngiti pa ni Marc sa panayam namin sa kanya sa GMA Network Studio.

"I've been playing extreme characters kasi and the role of Joel is a breather for me. For a change, medyo shy type tayo sa I ♥ You Pare.

May side kasi ako na rakista, bad boy type and aggressive. [Dito] daw, ginawa akong loverboy. Naging wholesome daw ako bigla," tawa pa niya.

ALL-AROUND PERFORMER. Made-describe nga ni Marc ang kanyang sarili as an all-around performer.

Bago nga kasi pasukin ni Marc (Ramon Marcelino Diaz-Abaya in real life) ang acting, he was frontman of the band Sandwich in 1998, bago niya binuo ang sarili niyang banda na Kjwan in 2003. That same year, sinubukan din niya ang maging isang video jock for MTV Philippines.

In 2008, he tried out acting in the afternoon TV series na Ligaw Na Bulaklak ng ABS-CBN 2 na pinagbidahan ni Roxanne Ginoo at dinirek ng I ♥ You Pare director na si Andoy Ranay.

"I've tried all aspects of entertainment. And I can say that acting was something that somehow fulfilled me just like singing did.

"Kaya when I did my first movie Dagim in 2010, I went all out in the acting department. I said to myself that this must be something that I am good at and I will strive to perfect my craft and try different roles along the way," aniya.

"That cannot be denied. Kaya siguro it's time for me to get into the business that my parents love so much. I learned so much from this business and who knows, I may work behind the cameras in the future. Anything is possible," diin pa niya.

MIRACLE AND MOVIE. According to Marc, every six months ay pinapa-check up nila ito sa doctor to make sure she's cancer-free.

"We are always praying that she is okay.

"Kaya every six months, I personally take her to the doctor for her check-up. Sa awa ng Diyos, she's always okay and we thank God for that every day," ngiti pa ni Marc.

Two years in the making nga raw ang naturang pelikula at maipapalabas na ito sa commercial theaters on February 23.

"We're happy that Mama is up and about and she just finished the long-delayed project na Ikaw Ang Pag-ibig. It took a long while to get the film finished because ayaw naman naming mapagod nang husto si Mama. We are all concerned about her health.

"But thank God, the movie is finish at ipapalabas na nga siya. This is a dream project of my mother and alam ko how much work she put into it. We want so many people to see her movie because it's an inspirational and spiritual film for everybody."
