The threat of an impending typhoon failed to hinder the launching of Emy Cruz's designs for lifestyle brand Colours, which was held last May 24 at the Cav Wine Shop-Café at Bonifacio Global City in Taguig City.
Four colors—blush, azul, amber, and crimson—characterized the collection matched with floral, prints, and glitter to fully capture the sensibility of the modern woman.
Models paraded in their floor-length gowns, Grecian inspired dresses, mixed with chains, grommets, and studs.
The designer's playful nature is evident in the way she incorporates fabric pieces, intricate lace fine points, handmade choker, scarlet skirts—all blended together with meticulous attention to detail.
"Despite the diversity of styles, one still finds a quiet cohesiveness between fabrics, cuts, and textures," said the Colours' press statement.
Accessory lines like beaded bibs, natural bangles, earrings, and cocktail rings in pearls, and semi-precious stones were also featured during the fashion show.
Actress-host Angel Aquino was the fashion event's finale, and she carried herself perfectly while clad in a strapless black gown.
Colours cited Angel's characteristics as to why they chose her to represent the brand—she's on the go, successful, stylish, and confident.
The Us Girls host returned the compliment by saying that being tapped as an endorser made her discover that women, despite varying interests and traits, are drawn together by their collective desire to celebrate life and enjoy its perks.
Aside from the fashion show itself, guests and VIPs were treated to good food and great wine, courtesy of the event venue.
Celebrities present that evening were actress-host Cheska Garcia, along with cager husband Doug Kramer, Belo Essentials executive Cristalle Henares, Kapuso actress-host Solenn Heussaff, Kapamilya actor-host Matteo Guidicelli, and model-host Marc Nelson.
