PEP EXCLUSIVE: GMA Films clarifies report about surprise visit of Nora Aunor to GMA-7

Here's the photo that elicited a "surprised" reaction from TV5 executives. It showed Nora Aunor wearing a Tween jacket and holding a fansign with the playdate of Tween Academy: Class of 2011.

(CLICK HERE to read related story)

"We were very happy when Kuya Germs brought Ms. Nora Aunor to our office before going to his radio show. A lot of people took their photos with Ms. Nora Aunor. We wanted to give her something and so we gave her a Tween jacket. We also gave her companions Tween jackets.

"Being the Superstar that she is, Ms. Nora Aunor showed her wholehearted support to the film industry.

"Kuya Germs assured us that she is not exclusive to any film company. That is why, we had a photo with her with a fan sign. Be it as it may, the photo was never intended to be distributed to the press or shown on TV.

"It is unfortunate that it is now the subject of press articles. This was never our intent.

"It was not us who made a big deal out of it in public.

"However, we only have fondness, respect, and admiration to Ms. Nora Aunor for showing her wholehearted support to young stars and to the Philippine movie industry.

"We hope that we will be able to contribute in our own way to the continued growth of the Philippine movie industry.

"I'm sure the Tweens generation will be very proud that the Superstar gave them a fansign."
