Kids and the kids-at-heart missed the Disney On Ice show in 2010.
But it's back!
Disney On Ice Presents: Let's Celebrate! will be shown this year and in the next five years.
Zac Ellard, Southeast Asia regional marketing director for Feld Entertainment, made this announcement at the press launch on December 1 at the Gateway Suites in Quezon City.
The group has partnered exclusively with Smart Araneta Coliseum for the future staging of the famed skating show for five more seasons.
LET'S CELEBRATE! Beginning December 25, 2011 until January 3, 2012, the public will get a chance to see over 50 well-loved Disney characters in one show.
It will feature scenes from various festivals and holidays celebrated all over the world.
From China's loud NewYear's Day celebrations to Rio de Janiero's colorful Carnivale, Mickey's "Digital Global Destinator" will take the audience to different places without having to leave their seats.
Experience snow and winter as they showcase Christmastime as it happens in their magical world.
There will be themed parties like Lilo and Stitch's "Hawaiian Luau," Alice and The Mad Hatter's "Merry Unbirthday" and Jack Skellington's "Halloween" at the Big Dome.
PINOY PRIDE. A new character, Princess Tiana, from the 2009 animated film The Princess and The Frog, will also be introduced to the Manila crowd.
A female skater of Filipino descent is set to play the part of Princess Tiana. Two other skaters/dancers of Filipino descent are in the ensemble cast.
Watch Let's Celebrate! beginning Christmas Day at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
