"I'm glad kasi he's never given me any reason doubt his fidelity. I think I am so blessed kasi I thought wala nang ganyang lalaki sa mundo. I thought all men are basically the same," Dawn Zulueta said about her husband, Davao Representative Anton Lagdameo.

At the press conference of ABS−CBN's Walang Hanggan, the entertainment media showed great curiousity about why the much talked−about relationship of its lead actors, Richard Gomez and Dawn Zulueta, did not last.

As Dawn coyly prodded Richard to tell the media the reason, the actor voluntarily said, "E, ako na ang aako!"

Then the actor, one of the handsomest in the country, continued, "Alam n'yo, noong medyo bata-bata pa kami ni Dawn, pati ang isip ko ay medyo may pagkabata pa.

"Hindi pa ako masyadong seryoso sa buhay.

"Ang sabi ni Dawn, 'Sa pag-iibigan nating ito, kailangan tuwid ang landas mo.'

"Hindi ko narinig ang tuwid ang landas. Akala ko pwedeng sanga-sangang landas."

After the presscon, PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and other media were able to ask Dawn if Richard's statement was true.

She quickly replied, "Oo naman. Paano naman niya ide-deny 'yon? Siya nga ang nagtanong, 'Paano na nga ulit tayo nag-split?'

"[Sabi ko], 'Nagtanong ka pa? Hindi mo na ba matandaan?'

"So, I had to refresh his memory.

"So, sabi niya, 'Ah gano'n ba?' Sabi ko, 'Bakit, balak mo pa bang i-deny? Hindi na pwede.'"

While this may have been a serious issue before, Dawn and Richard now talk and laugh about it casually.

The multi-awarded actress agreed with her former reel- and real-life partner that they're one of the few couples able to work together despite their romantic relationship coming to an end.

She related, "I think hindi na talaga mawawala ang enjoyment namin at 'yong general fondness din namin para sa isa't isa.

"We treasure the kind of working relationship that we have, pinangangalagaan namin 'yon.

"And we're content na kahit gano'n na lamang ang ating pagsasama ngayon, e, okay na rin."

Dawn was asked how long it took her to move on from her breakup with Richard, and she answered, "Siguro isang taon din or maybe less."

For her, that was a long period of feeling bad. She even jested, "Siya nga nakapag-move on agad!"

She explained, "Kasi, hindi mo rin maiiwasan na hindi magkita kami palagi, so we say hello, 'yon lang.

"Pero 'yong balik chummy-chummy, 'friend na tayo'—siguro about a year."

UNDERSTANDING SPOUSES. But everything is in the past already. Now, both Dawn and Richard are happy with their own families.

Dawn also said, "I'm happy for him because he married such a lovely wife.

"Lucy has such confidence in her bearing. 'She allows you to work with your ex-girlfriend!'

"She doesn't mind it. She supports pa nga, e. So, sabi ko, 'Napakaswerte mo!'

Likewise, Dawn said she's lucky to have found an understanding husband in Anton Lagdameo, currently Davao representative.

In fact, according to Dawn, he did not mind her working with Richard again in Walang Hanggan.

"I said I wanna rest until next year, until 2012, [then] I find this new project.

"Nagulat siya, 'O, bakit ngayon gusto mo nang bumalik?'

"I said, 'No, ito 'yong project at ito ang makakasama ko.' He appreciated it."

Dawn also mentioned that her husband proved to her that there are still men who remain faithful to their partners.

She related, "Si Anton, super loyal. Kay Anton, wala akong masamang tinapay doon.

"Si Anton talaga ay very faithful and very loyal.

"I'm glad kasi he's never given me any reason to doubt his fidelity.

"I think I am so blessed kasi I thought wala nang ganyang lalaki sa mundo.
