Marc Nelson and Rovilson Fernandez will spearhead the Earth Hour event this March 31, where a formal program will happen in Makati, Cebu, and Davao.

WWF-Philippines National Ambassadors Marc Nelson and Rovilson Fernandez are set to lead the fight for nature, through the annual nationwide activity, Earth Hour.

This event which started in Sydney, Australia, in the year 2007 aims to encourage people in reducing their energy consumption.

Philippines started joining this advocacy on March 28, 2008, at the CCP Open Grounds.

This year, the nationwide "switch-off" will happen on March 31, at exactly 8:30 in the evening, with three major cities as the "main switch-off sites": Ayala Triangle Gardens in Makati City, Plaza Independencia in Cebu, and SM City in Davao.

"I WILL IF YOU WILL" CAMPAIGN. Meanwhile, Marc and Rovilson will make this event extra special by enjoining people to make "I Will If You Will" pledges.

It is about challenging one's self to do something for the nature through different social networking sites.

For instance, Marc pledges to "swim with sharks in panda costume, and plant trees underwater while munching on a carrot, if 5,000 of his Twitter followers will avoid using plastic bags and switch to a reusable shopping bag."

For Rovilson's part, he will "run races wearing a panda costume in all his races for the whole month of April, if 5,000 of WWF-Philippines' fans will use stairs instead of elevators or escalators for a whole month."

Through this campaign, the two hunk are positive that the advocacy to take care of the country "will not happen only for a day, but in every day of our lives."
