On July 18, the NBA Legends team held a basketball clinic for the youth of Childhope Asia Foundation.

More than 20 boys and girls had the chance to meet American basketball greats at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

NBA stars Scottie Pippen, Mitch Richmond, Jason Williams, Horace Grant, Clifford Robinson, Jeff Trepagnier, Charoy Bentley, Chris Campbell, Bryon Russell, and Victor Joe Alexander—minus Dennis Rodman who was not able to attend—came together to spend some time with the children for the morning activity.

Former Chicago Bulls star Pippen, along with former Milwaukee Bucks point guard Oscar “Big O” Robertson who serves as the contigent’s coach, led the training session that lasted for about an hour.

The children were taught proper dribbling, passing, shooting, and blocking techniques by the veterans, whom they also got to play with in a quick fun game right after.

After the short event, the players headed back to their hotel to prepare for their 7:00 p.m. match-up against the PBA Legends team also at the arena.

The local crew is composed of Bal David, Bong Hawkins, EJ Feihl, Jerry Codiñera, Jojo Lastimosa, Kenneth Duremdes, Marlou Aquino, Nelson Asaytono, Noli Locsin and Vince Hizon.
