In a recent interview with PEP, Say Alonzo delightedly reminisced her wedding day, which happened on June 11, 2011. The married actress now finds her new role as a wife to be “fun.”

It seems that Say Alonzo is enjoying her status as a married woman.

The former Pinoy Big Brother housemate turned actress tied the knot on June 11 last year with her boyfriend of four years, a non-showbiz guy named Ryan Tordesillas.

The ceremony was held at Our Lady of Lourdes Church and was followed by an intimate reception for 250 guests at Ville Sommet in Tagaytay.

Reminiscing that special day, the still very "kikay" Say smiled as she was being interviewed by (Philippine Entertainment Portal) on September 25.

“It was my dream wedding and everything went perfectly.

“All my close friends and family were there, tapos my husband and I happily wed,” she says.

Only the couple’s closest friends and relatives were invited to the party.

The only celebrities in the entourage were actresses Chariz Solomon and LJ Reyes, who brought along her toddler Ethan Akio.

Say went on to tell PEP about the wedding party, where she and Ryan gave their guests a treat by surprising them with a performance of the song “Time Of My Life” from the movie Dirty Dancing (1987).

“It all went fine naman and… kasi, di ba, most of the time parang in the middle of the party people usually go home?

“Sa amin, nag-stay sila hanggang end of the party and we had to extend pa.

“So, okay naman and everyone had fun. Nag-extend kami and I was so happy!”

Now, more than a year later, Say finds her new life as Mrs. Tordesillas to be “fun.”

When at home, she spends time in the kitchen experimenting with some recipes she learned from her lola.

But most of the time, she and Ryan like to go out for dinner dates and to party with friends, just as they did at the launch of Rajo! for Parisian and Milanos shoes at the SMX Convention Center.

Say says, settling in to a new living setup with her husband never became an issue for her.

“Well, I think my living independently since 2007, wala nang masyadong naging adjustments.

“Kasi when I got married, sa condo pa rin kami nakatira. We only moved to our house this year.

“It’s far lang ‘cause we’re from Parañaque, so two-hour-drive kapag may traffic going to work. Pero okay naman.

“Sa adjustments, I guess wala namang naging adjustments [kasi] four years naman na kaming magkasama and we’re okay naman.”

Are they planning to have a baby soon?

“We don’t have a baby yet because I need to work and I need to finish the movie,” says Say, who is cast as one of Andi Eigenmann’s friends in the movie A Secret Affair.

“Pero I think we’re gonna try na this year or by next year.”
