For TV host Rovilson Fernandez, a weekend getaway means having “the time time of his life” with friends.
The highly athletic celebrity is always on-the-go and always finds himself wanting for more .
That's why the Asian city of Singapore is one of his favorite travel destinations.
“Singapore has become a regular destination for me and my friends. I personally loved the city after visiting there for several personal trips and hosting gigs,” he says.
Apart from its proximity to Manila, which is less than four hours away by plane, Rovilson finds Singapore an exciting place for fun activities.
On September, the former Amazing Race Asia 2 contender visited the city for the Formula One season.
The Formula One SingTel Singapore Grand Prix has been held at the Marina Bay Street circuit since 2008, following a long absence after the race was last held at the Thompson Road Circuit in 1973.
The 2008 race was a milestone for Formula One racing as it was the first night-time event in its history.
“Last September was particularly exciting as I’ve always wanted to go back during the race season to partake in not just the actual races, but in the activities surrounding the race as well.
“Whether it’s a special party where I can mingle with fellow racing enthusiasts or the concerts at the Marina Bay Street Circuit, I know that me and my friends will never have to worry about keeping ourselves entertained while in Singapore,” Rovilson said.
He vows to go back soon to witness other major events in the city.
On November 2 and 3, award-winning composer David Foster will take his Hitman: David Foster and Friends concert tour to the Marina Bay Sands hotel.
Guest performers featured on the show include Chaka Khan, Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds, and Paul Young.
Broadway enthusiasts are also invited to watch the Tony Award-winning smash musical Jersey Boys playing from November 20 to February 17 at The Sands Theater.
