Eat Bulaga! lady boss Malou Choa-Fagar turns another year older; celebrates birthday with closest friends in showbiz

About 50 stars and TV personalities trooped to the penthouse of Imperial Palace Suites on November 6, to celebrate the 57th birthday of Eat Bulaga! lady boss Malou Choa-Fagar.

“Ang birthday ko talaga ay November 12. Advanced, kasi we’re leaving on a jet plane,” the celebrator said. The longest-running noontime show in the country is set to hold a special episode in London on November 17.

Her birthday party is considered an annual event for (Philippine Entertainment Portal).

Back in 2006, when only a few people in showbiz knew about the site, Tita Malou (how she’s called) was the first to invite us, and has been doing it ever since.

Her guest list included the former Queen of RP Movies Susan Roces, who was seen having fun time, catching up with her manager Dolor Guevarra, Helen Gamboa, German Moreno, Marichu Maceda, and talent manager Shirley Kuan.

She stayed in the air-conditioned room near the pool area, where the main activity was held.

Tita Malou quipped, “Sila yung mga guests ko na ayaw mainitan…”

Also present were senators Tito Sotto, Jinggoy Estrada, and Richard Gordon.

On Jinggoy, she said, “Thank you sa lechon.”

On Tito, she joked, “Thank you for the cash.”

But Tita Malou later on revealed that the shimmering pair of earrings she was wearing came from the host-senator and his wife Helen.

SIDELIGHTS. Now what happens when stars, talent managers, TV executives, a few politicians, and press people convene? “Bonggang tsikahan!”

Ali Sotto’s rare shot with ex-husband Maru Sotto, who revealed in jest, “Theme song namin dati, ‘Wooly Bully.’”

GMA-7 executive Redgie Magno who said about her son, Kapuso newbie Pancho Magno: “Wala akong kinalaman sa pag-aartista niya. Kung ako ang masusunod, ayoko.”

Pia Magalona, who was spotted chatting with daughter Maxene’s rumored boyfriend Renz Fernandez.

And of course, the jamming session and the drinking spree!

It’s one of those few showbiz parties where the stars can be themselves… and act like no one’s watching.
