Nope, there weren’t any local celebs spotted on the red carpet— if that’s what you’re thinking— but instead, two famous Hollywood leading ladies sported fashion made by Pinoys!

One of them is Modern Family star Sofia Vergara, who is known to flaunt her distinctive Latina curves on the red carpet.

Although the actress and her comic ensemble lost to HBO series Girls, Sofia won by a mile on the red carpet in a stunning black corset gown.

The dress is lusciously swamped with beads from the sexy sweetheart neckline, down to its fluffy chiffon train.

Designed by Dubai-based Michael Cinco, the dress was one of E! Online’s pick for best dresses of the evening.

They lauded Sofia for choosing a gown that accentuated her voluptuous shape, and even noted how she exuded an “effortless glamour,” thanks to her simple hairstyle, which she kept long and straight.

She also wore diamond accessories from Lorraine Schwartz.

Another star who brought Pinoy pride to the red carpet was Dancing With The Stars’ Julianne Hough.

The actress-singer-dancer wore a white modern ball gown by US-based designer Monique Lhuillier.

Although Lhuillier is known for her soft, classic bridal looks, she played around this time with very rock-and-roll, square-shaped gold beads.

Julianne was also named by E! as one of their best dressed for cleverly working around the gown’s glam rock vibe.

She wore an edgy hairdo and some “fierce” accessories, including a gold minaudiere and black nails, to match the look.
