Philippines' Ultimate Heartthrob Piolo Pascual— fondly called "Papa P" by his legions of supporters— has transcended from being a simple boy-next-door to one of the hottest personalities in Philippine showbiz today.
Starting out as an actor on television, he has done a number of projects on the silver screen, and won countless awards for some performances where he showcased his acting prowess.
Among his memorable films is the breakthrough movie Lagarista (2000), directed by Mel Chionglo, which competed in a number of international film festivals.
He gained further accolade when he took home the grand slam— meaning he bagged all the trophies from all the movie awards where he was nominated— for best supporting actor in Dekada '70 (2002).
On television, it was his bit role in the Judy Ann Santos-starrer Esperanza (1999) that became the catalyst for him to get noticed.
After this successful soap, he teamed up with Juday in quite a number of television and movie projects, which propelled both their careers to greater heights.
Together, they starred in sensational teleseryes Sa Puso Ko Iingatan Ka (2001), which ran for three years, and Sa Piling Mo (2006)— both on ABS-CBN.
They took the lead in movies Kahit Isang Saglit (2000), Bakit Di Totohanin (2001), Till There Was You (2003), and Don't Give Up On Us (2006)— all of which were box-office hits.
Piolo's diverse talents also got him into hosting and singing on ABS-CBN's top-rating Sunday noontime variety show ASAP.
From there, Piolo jumped into another plane and skyrocketed to become a bonafide OPM recording artist.
To date, he has at least seven full albums under Star Records, excluding compilation albums with various artists.
All his albums received certifications reaching gold and platinum status, and with this, he has not only taken the music industry by storm, but the concert scene as well.
Apart from all his success as an entertainer, Piolo is also a certified triathelete, a film producer, and one of the top celebrity product endorsers in the country.
In all of these successes, the public has seen the star sporting different hairstyles that marked every milestone in his career.
Among the looks he has tried are the crew cut, ivy league, combover, and buzz cut.
He's experimented with casual long straight hairstyles, varying in volume and texture, which give him a sexier appeal.
He's also donned a jagged cut all through the back and sides, but maintaining volume to achieve a little shaggy look.
Piolo has also tried sporting layered hair with long back, which required some styling effort.
Most of the time though, he would maintain a hairstyle that has a neat finish to the edges, while the top length is kept long with a jagged cut for texture.
