(Do we really need to say it again?) Summer is here!
And there’s no more hiding from the scorching heat of the sun.
Whether you’re on the beach or simply making your way through your daily commute to the office, the sun’s UV rays will always be there to kiss your skin.
So, the stars’ advice: Always wear sunblock.
SUNBLOCK IS A MUST. Former No Other Woman co-stars Anne Curtis and Derek Ramsay were on Boracay Island last March to support Belo Beauty’s campaign for more avid protection from the sun.
"[Skin is] the biggest organ in your body and it's the only one you've got, so you better take good care of it,” says brand head Cristalle Belo on the importance of protecting your skin from the sun.
“The UV rays of the sun [are] damaging and can, not only burn and speed up your ageing process, [but] also lead to skin cancer."
Having that machismo complex by nature, men usually tend to forget (or ignore) the whole sunblock process.
Even Derek admits that sometimes, he does forget to put on protection before leaving the house.
So, he has resolved to find himself a product that is easy to use and doesn’t leave that icky residue that most men hate when they wear sunblock.
“Unlike other sunblocks, the SunExpert is very easy to use.
“It’s not sticky or harsh, and the spray allows quick, hassle-free application even on hard-to-reach areas that get exposed to the sun.”
The Belo SunExpert Transparent Mist is a spray-on sunblock infused with SPF-50.
Unlike lotion or cream-based sunblocks, transparent mists feel lighter and less greasy on the skin.
Its spray bottle container also gives you the ease of putting sunblock in hard-to-reach areas such as your back.
On gloomy days— or in the case of country’s very fickle weather, rainy— wearing sunblock is still a must.
That is what Anne Curtis tried to emphasize, when she gave her piece on skin care during the event.
“Taking care of your skin is one of the most important things to remember, especially with the harsh sun we experience nowadays.”
And it’s not only when you’re heading to the beach that the sunblock becomes an integral part of your beauty arsenal.
For Anne, SPF products should always be a staple in your daily skin care.
“It’s the perfect companion whether you’re going on a string of beach trips or enduring a long commute under the tropical sun,” said Anne.
