Eula Valdez and her son wear matching T-shirts to stop prejudice

At 43, Eula Valdez still enjoys activities that her kids, Miguel, 18, and 8-year-old Juliana, love to do. But she gets irritated whenever her son is mistaken as her “young boyfriend.” So, what did Eula do to prevent this situation from happening again?

Though she’s busy with her showbiz career, Eula Valdez maintains a happy relationship with her two kids with actor Ronnie Quizon— Miguel, 18, and Juliana, 8.

These days she's working on the upcoming fantasy series, her first project under the TV5 network, titled Cassandra: The Warrior Angel.

In an interview last April 11, (Philippine Entertainment Portal) asked Eula if she still gets to bond with her kids in spite of her hectic schedule.

“Yes!” exclaimed the 43-year-old actress with a big smile.

Her eldest child Miguel is in college, taking up film at the College of Saint Benilde. When they have spare time, they hang out at the mall, watch movies or chat over coffee.

Eula says her son is “proud” that she still looks beautiful and appealing at her age.

But she gets irked whenever Miguel is mistaken— with prejudice— as her “young boyfriend.”

“Alam mo, iyon iyong nakakainis?” she asked PEP rhetorically.

Anong feeling nito?’"

To prevent such incidents from happening again, Eula found a unique way by using personalized T-shirts.

FINISH STUDIES FIRST. Since Miguel is taking up film, Eula’s not surprised if he’ll eventually enter showbiz. And she’s happy that he’ll be working behind the camera.

As for Juliana, “Iyong bunso ko, gusto raw niya maging Eula Valdez,” the versatile actress modestly tells the press.

Eula says she’s a supportive mom. But just like other celebrity parents, she sets one condition for her kids: finish studies first.

“Ako naka-graduate ako,” Eula proudly says.

“Kailangan ‘wag mo rin papabayaan iyong studies mo.

“She’s [Juliana] doing very well naman sa school at saka sa Kumon din, lagi siyang may medal.”

Supporting your kids is one thing and guiding them through their dreams is another, Eula wants every mom to realize.

Let kids explore and allow them to discover for themselves what they would like to be someday.

The role of a parent, according to Eula, is to support and guide your children to reach their dreams.
