“Marami pa naman akong maibubuga kaya sana huwag muna akong malaos,” Vice Ganda on his fear of losing his popularity soon.

“Showbiz is not forever,” is the common reminder given to celebrities, and Vice Ganda realizes it as early as now.

While the TV host-comedian enjoys his current status in showbiz, he does not deny that he's also afraid of losing his luster in showbiz.

He also admits that his strong prayer and wish right now is, “Huwag muna akong malaos talaga kasi masaya ako sa estado ko ngayon.”

With his current projects, one might say that Vice has no reason to be worried about his showbiz career.

Apart from his regular TV shows, It’s Showtime and Gandang Gabi Vice, Vice is also currently busy with his third major concert called I-Vice Ganda Mo ‘Ko sa Araneta, happening on May 17.

He has also just released his self-titled second studio album under Star Records, which seems to be doing well in terms of sales.

However, there is still a part of Vice that keeps reminding him that he shouldn’t feel complacent with what he has now.

While he often tells people that he can survive if he ever goes back to his previous status before showbiz, he admits that he also feels scared at the same time.

“Ang totoo, natatakot naman ako talaga,” Vice confessed in an interview with PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and members of the press during the media conference for his upcoming concert in Smart-Araneta Coliseum.

However, he was quick to say, “Pinaghahandaan ko ‘yan.

MORE TO PROVE. Although Vice has somehow proven his talent as a comedian and TV host, he said he could show more if he would be given a chance to stay longer in the industry.

“Kaya ipinagdadasal ko na huwag muna akong malaos,” said the former stand-up comedian turned Phenomenal Box-office Star.

Having said this, it seems like taking an “early retirement” is not an option for Vice right now.

“Iyong retirement, hindi ko siya kino-consider anytime soon,” the 37-year-old Kapamilya talent told the media.

“Minsan gusto nating mag-beach, gusto nating mag-abroad, gusto natin to spend time with some people na gusto nating makasama.

“Pero ‘yong early retirement, hindi pa. Ine-enjoy ko pa [ang showbiz].

“Kailan lang ‘to, e.

LITTLE REWARDS. To prevent burnout at work, Vice says he always gives himself a simple reward.

“Mukhang corny pero every day I reward myself,” he related.

This may include, according to Vice, “Like, ‘yong mga simpleng paglabas-labas.

He also stressed, “Kailangan pagkatapos kong magtrabaho, bago ako umuwi, rarampa muna ako.

When it comes to his earnings, Vice knows how to use them wisely, but sometimes indulges in buying things for himself and his family.

Vice does not also regret splurging once in a while, especially if it is for his family and friends.
