Charice never regrets wearing girly clothes when she was younger. For her, “Memories ‘yon para sa akin. Ayaw ko pong kalimutan ‘yon kasi naging parte po ‘yon ng journey ko.”

No more skirts and dresses for Charice as she now prefers the “butch” style.

People have gotten used to seeing the 21-year-old singer wearing gowns and dresses when performing.

However, after revealing her preferred gender, Charice admits that she will look different now when going out in public.

“Merong feminine, may butch. I think doon ako sa medyo [butch].

“Hindi naman sobrang makeup, siguro ‘yong konti lang kasi ayaw ko naman [ng sobra],” Charice answered when asked what will be her style now in an interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and other media during the announcement of nominees in the OMG Philippines Award on Tuesday, June 4.

Will she be like one of her mentors, the popular American TV talk show host Ellen de Generes?

“Opo. Pero siyempre, we’re trying to experiment,” she replied.

Ellen, of course, sports a rather manly look, with a cropped hairdo, button down shirts, and slacks usually paired with loafers or sneakers.

Then, Charice related where she gets her inspiration when thinking about her outfit for the day.

She told the media, “Tinatanong nila ako kung ano ang inspirasyon ko sa mga guys, ang inspirasyon ko ay sina Chris Brown and Justin Bieber.

“I’m gonna mix it up. It’s gonna be totally different.”

NO REGRETS. Although she is now more open and proud about her sexuality, Charice clarifies that she never regrets wearing girly clothes in the past.

When asked what she’s going to do with the dresses she wore before, she laughed, “Magpapagawa ako ng museum. Joke!”

For Charice, those are very important for her because, “Memories ‘yon para sa akin.

“Ayaw ko pong kalimutan ‘yon kasi naging parte po ‘yon ng journey ko.”
