On July 25, celebrities Paulo Avelino, Maxene Magalona, and Keifer Ravena were introduced as the newest endorsers of LG Optimus G Pro, the new flagship smartphone of Korean digital brand LG.
In an interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) at the Ayala Museum, they each gave their “inspiring user experience” with the gadget.
Paulo Avelino admitted to being a film buff, and was glad about the Smart Video feature, which automatically pauses when the viewer looks away from the screen, of his phone.
Paulo shared, “Whenever I watch videos, what I hate the most is when it’s at the climax.
"When you’re watching a film and it’s reaching the climax, someone suddenly talks to you, for example... It’s kinda rude to say, ‘Wait, I just need to pause my phone.’ It’s kinda incovenient.”
With his new video player, Paulo said he can now watch his favorite movies without the hassle of pausing it manually.
“Just look away, talk to them [callers], and say, ‘Yes.’ Look back, automatically, it plays again.”
The Kapamilya actor also mentioned the importance of long battery life.
“I tried testing it the other day—break-testing, something like that—to see how far the battery goes.
“So in full LTE, what I did, I just watched YouTube videos non-stop, and to be honest, after like 5 or 6 hours of watching documentaries in HD, I kinda was amazed kasi it’s in my mind to check my battery and when I checked it, it has more than half of it.
“I mean, the battery for sure will last, I guarantee you, the whole day even if you use it heavy.”
Meanwhile, Kapuso actress Maxene Magalona was fascinated with "Full HD IPS display."
“It’s so nice, it’s so beautiful, and when I look at the pictures, the videos, and then Instagram, the pictures are just so stunningly clear.
“It’s just so clear, the images are so crisp, they’re vivid, I love it.”
Dubbing herself the “Selfie Queen,” Maxene was also impressed with the device’s camera features, like the13-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front-face camera, voice activation, and panorama shot.
Maxene exclaimed, “I love the feature where you just say 'cheese' and it takes the picture.”
Meanwhile, Ateneo De Manila University basketball player Keifer Ravena stressed the importance of having a smartphone that would fit his active lifestyle, and let him stay connected to the Internet and social media accounts.
Keifer described, “On the go... Talagang we know where the games are, kung maglalaro kami, kung sino kalaban namin.”
