FHM Philippines brings you another special issue this September as it releases a new edition of FHM Collections, the magazine's annual fashion and grooming guide.
This year, the spotlight is on comedy and style as it features GMA-7’s sexy comedienne Rufa Mae Quinto on the cover and ABS-CBN’s hunk actor-host Luis Manzano on the flip cover.
RUFA MAE QUINTO COUNTS HER BLESSINGS. Rufa Mae is no stranger to FHM as this issue marks her fourth appearance on the cover.
The comedienne tells FHM, “With each peg and with each concept and each edition of FHM, it’s always something new and different... Nagkaka-depth.
"There’s evolution and revolution! So yun ang maganda—may posing, may bending, and showing of everything I’ve got all the way!”
Rufa Mae counts her many blessings in this issue's cover story.
She is thankful for family and friends, who are always at her side; the weekly gag show Bubble Gang as a constant in her career, and her latest starring role as the zombie-killer Miri in the sci-fi adventure movie Ang Huling Henya, which is a new challenge for the comedy actress.
“It’s serious and there was a lot of action and drama.
"I took an acting workshop kasi yung Rufa Mae tipong, ‘Yeah! Go, go, go!’ and bawal yun.
"Of course, there’s comedy. It’s still Rufa Mae, but mature," she says.
LUIS MANZANO. Leading the line-up of men for this year’s theme “Funny is the New Pogi” is Luis Manzano.
FHM asked Luis if he agrees on this new title under his name and he says, “Yes.
"I’m not saying I’m funny, but I’m saying yes," he declares with a hearty laugh.
"Kasi ang point ko, looks mawawala yan... Maybe not in my case kasi sobrang guwapo ko," he jokes.
"Hindi, looks kasi, it changes. Pero personality [and] charm, that lasts a lifetime. The fact that you’re making someone laugh, that experience para sa akin is priceless.”
Also featured in the "Funny is the New Pogi" series are Ramon Bautista, Jun Sabayton, Empoy, the band members of Tanya Markova, Bogart the Explorer, Alwyn Uytingco, Nathan Lopez, Ketchup Eusebio, and Sef Cadayona—each known for his unique brand of humor.
