Following a report posted on PEP Alerts last October 3 about the results of the Miss Tourism Queen International 2013 pageant, Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. sent an official statement on October 4, via e-mail to PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal).
The statement confirmed that Miss Philippines candidate Cindy Miranda won’t be flying home with a crown from Xianning, China, where the pageant was held on October 3.
Many Filipinos hoped for three wins, after the consecutive successes of Miss Supranational Mutya Johanna Datul and Miss World Megan Lynne Young, who both emerged as the first Filipinas to have won the respective titles.
However, the organization congratulated the cum laude graduate from the University of Santo Tomas for making it to the Top 10.
Alisa Miskovska, the candidate from Latvia, won Miss Tourism Queen International.
The runners up—from first to fourth—were Miss South Africa Roxzelle Rheeder, Miss China Tan Shiyu, Miss Korea Na Ran hi, and Miss Portugal Ana Bomfin.
Here is the full statement from Binibining Pilipinas:

Pilipinas Tourism 2013 Miss Cindy Miranda for reaping yet another pageant honor for the Philippines by placing among the Top Ten finalists in the just-concluded Miss Tourism Queen International 2013 Pageant held at Xianning, China.
“The Binibining Pilipinas family lauds the exceptional showing of our Filipina beauties and enjoins Filipinos all over the world to continue supporting Miss Universe Philippines 2013 Ariella Arida and Bb.
