Actresses (L-R) Anne Curtis, Marian Rivera, Bea Alonzo, and Kim Chiu are among today’s most beautiful stars with obvious foreign lineage. It goes without saying that their Australian, Spanish, British, or German features, mixed with their Filipina genes, make for a stunning and refreshing look that clearly defines the evolution of Filipina beauty.

The most recent international beauty pageants have crowned Filipinas to be among the fairest in the land.

For the past three years, Filipinas came very close to bagging the much-coveted crown in the prestigious Miss Universe pageant.

Venus Raj was fourth runner-up in the 2010, Shamcey Supsup was third runner-up the following year, while Janine Tugonon leapt to first runner-up in 2012.

The winning streak continues this year as Megan Young, the country’s bet in the 2013 Miss World pageant, came home with the Philippines’s first-ever win in the international beauty contest.

Truly, the country is home to beautiful Filipina women regardless of their pure Pinay beauty or foreign blood. Venus is Filipino-Indian, Megan is Filipino-American, meanwhile Shamcey and Janine are pure Filipino.

In local showbiz, much as morenas like Lovi Poe, Angel Aquino, Maja Salvador, Bianca Gonzalez, Tweetie de Leon, and Isabelle Daza are admired and regarded as the epitomes of Filipina beauty, other fair-skinned Pinay actresses of mixed lineage are also worshipped as iconic beauties in their own right.

This top list celebrates the latter in celebration of United Nations month.
