YES! cheers and toasts showbizlandia in its November issue.
Top of the corkers is Willie Revillame, who inaugurated his Wil Tower Mall last September.
People close to Willie and glittery personalities came to the party. To name a few: former First Lady Imelda Marcos; former Vice President Noli de Castro; former Senate President Manny Villar, who owns Vista Land and Lifescapes Inc., partner of Willie for this project, and producer Mother Lily Monteverde.
And, of course, there for familial support were Willie’s mother, Myrna Buendia, and his daughter, Meryll Soriano.
Willie expressed gratitude to his staff for the successful opening of the Wil Tower Mall on E. Lopez street across ABS-CBN. It is said to be the first twin tower to rise in Quezon City.
The mall, according to the TV host, was not just for the VIPs “but, of course, sa mga empleyado ko na nagtatrabaho behind the success of this mall.”
He said in his closing speech, as he turned emotional, the project is a product of his hard work: “Galing po ito sa pawis, sa hirap—isang mikropono na nagbigay ng saya."
Society columnists and A-listers Tessa Prieto-Valdes and Tim Yap hosted the celebration, which ended with a bang.
Asia’s Songbird, Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, sprang up after Willie's speech and surprised the guests with her rendition of the popular song, now battlecry, “I Will Survive.”
YES! also features the 30th birthday celebrations of John Lloyd Cruz and the birthday bashes of Zanjoe Marudo, Ogie Alcasid, Priscilla Meirelles, Scarlet Jenine Mago (daughter of Pia Guanio) and Kiko Pangilinan.
YES! turns to the colorful life of Jackie Forster as she narrates how she and husband Michael met and built a family—with Andre and Kobe, her children with Benjie Paras—at their Kuala Lumpur home in Malaysia.
The November issue of YES! magazine is now available in newsstands, bookstores, convenience stores, and supermarkets nationwide. A digital edition of YES! is also available for download on your mobile device.
