Miss World 2013 Megan Young is a real beauty queen in every sense of the word.

Wearing the same gown she wore during the pageant last September, Megan dazzled the A-list crowd at the Metro Society charity fashion show, held at the Solaire Grand Ballroom on December 1.

The 23-year-old led the program by accepting a pledge of P400,000 worth of relief goods from the employees of an electronics company, to be donated to ABS-CBN Foundation Inc.'s Sagip Kapamilya.

She also encouraged other potential donors to support ongoing relief and rehabilitation efforts for the victims of super typhoon Yolanda.

Her recent visit to typhoon-hit areas in the province of Leyte inspired her to do more for those who are still suffering from the aftermath of the calamity.

“It surprised me that despite such a devastating thing that has happened there, you can see that they're very happy to see us, happy to have somebody to have a special moment with.

“Seeing that really pushed me and inspired me and made me determined to work even harder for them because they need our love, care, and support…

“Thank you so much to everyone that's helping.

"Maganda talaga na nakikita mo na as a community, as Filipinos, we work together to help out those who need us,” Megan said in her speech during the first part of the program.

MEGAN’S GOWN UP FOR BIDDING. The charity fashion show by Metro Society Magazine features the iconic creations of fashion industry leaders, who all agreed to auction off selected pieces to raise funds for the typhoon victims.

Topping the list is Megan's embellished pastel gown designed by Francis Libiran.

In an interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), the Filipino designer expressed how he feels about donating one of his creations for a greater cause.

“Being part of this event is my way of contributing to the typhoon victims.

"It’s enough that I had the privilege of dressing up Megan. In that sense, para na ring akong kinoronahan, kasi it’s part of history na our first Miss World, Megan Young, was wearing Francis Libran.”

As of press time, PEP.ph has not received any information about the winner of the silent bidding for Megan’s Miss World gown.
