Kapuso actor-TV host Rocco Nacino could not imagine how he clicks to college girls until he performed at the University of the East in Caloocan recently.
Kolehiyalas started screaming as soon as he came out on stage to perform the song “Ngiti.”
“Nakakatuwa na ganun ang pagtanggap nila sa akin.
“Ako rin, kinilig sa kanila. Nakakatuwa sila,” said Rocco in an interview.
Rocco, together with other Kapuso heartthrobs, was in UE Caloocan Campus on Tuesday, February 18, to present the candidates for Mr. and Ms. UE. The said contest was part of the school’s Foundation Week.
The presentation of the candidates, according to Rocco, reminded him of his college days, when he also joined such event.
“‘Yong mga ganyan talaga, binibigyan ko ng halaga kasi nanggaling na ako d’yan,” he said.
“Actually, lumaban ako.
“First year college, wala kaming representative.
“Enrico pa tawag nila sa akin, sabi nila, 'Ikaw na sumali.' Sabi ko, ‘Sige.'
“It was out of experience and nanalo ako [2004 Mr. Mapua].”
From college heartthrob, Rocco joined a bigger talent search show, StarStruck, in which he became the Second Prince in 2009.
Meanwhile, continuing the kilig moment in UE-Caloocan auditorium was Enzo Pineda who performed “When You Say Nothing At All” while giving roses to lucky students.
Julian Trono, on the other hand, picked three female students to join him in dancing the former hit dance song “Gentleman.”
Ruru Madrid went around the room giving more kilig to students while performing the song “Hinahanap-hanap Kita.”
Newbie GMA artist Kenneth Paul Cruz and Walang Tulugan mainstay Jak Roberto also easily caught the hearts of the female UE students.
The post-Valentine’s Day event of UE-Caloocan was hosted by comedienne Tess Bomb.
