Judy Ann Santos on keeping fit: "Mas gusto ko yung hindi payat na payat. Enough lang to be confident about what you wear."

Judy Ann Santos admits that working out is more fun when she's accompanied by her husband Ryan Agoncillo. They enjoy running, swimming, or hitting the gym together when their schedule permits it.

“Basta kaya ko siyang sabayan, at kaya ng energy ko, sasabayan ko siya. Kasi iyon lang ang time namin to have an alone time," says the Kapamilya actress in a recent presscon.


Judy Ann Santos believes that being sexy is not just about keeping fit, but it’s more of projecting the right attitude.

“More than diet and exercise, it’s the time you spend for yourself. You have to feel beautiful inside out.

“Kapag 110 percent ang confidence mo, tuloy-tuloy na iyon, e. Magdo-domino effect. You can try anything you want,” said the Kapamilya actress when asked about the secret to her youthful glow.

At the same time, Judy Ann shared that she leads a healthy lifestyle by working out on a regular basis. She also makes it a point to include fruits and vegetables in her daily diet.

“I work out every morning before I go to work. That’s how I jumpstart my whole system para I’m able to do everything sa work, and then when I go home, I can cook pa and play with the kids.”

At 35, however, the Kapamilya actress admits that burning excess fat is not that easy, so she complements her daily exercise routine with a visit to her beauty doctor Aivee Teo-Aguilar.

Most recently, she has gone through one session of Vanquish, a non-invasive body sculpting thermal treatment that targets the removal of love handles for that beach-ready body.

Judy Ann guaranteed that it’s a safe procedure and wouldn’t cause any pain or bruising afterwards.

“Thirty minutes lang siya. You can do whatever you want to do after that. Wala kang mararamdaman na pain.

“Medyo mainit lang after the whole process, medyo papawisan ka nang slight, but it’s very bearable.”

Although she refused to disclose her exact vital body stats, Judy Ann claimed that she’s happy with her trim figure these days.

“Mas gusto ko iyong ganitong katawan na hindi payat na payat. Enough lang to be confident about what you wear—pwede ka mag-sleeveless, mag-skinny jeans—pero hindi ka naman anorexic-thin, healthy pa rin,” she stressed.

“Parang minsan tinatamad na din kami mag-date. Minsan magluluto na lang ako sa bahay, doon na kami magde-date dalawa.”

The Kapamilya actress further shared that she enjoys cooking “dirty breakfast” for Ryan after a particularly rigorous workout session.

“Kapag nag-bike siya ng two to three hours with his friends, I would prepare a dirty breakfast for him. It’s called dirty breakfast because you eat a lot when you’re dirty after working out.

“But it’s actually very healthy—whole wheat pancakes, whole wheat waffles with blueberries and bananas.”

Since she refrains from doing any acting project at the moment, Judy Ann happily stated that she has more time to cook for Ryan and their kids.

“Sabi nga nila, for you to have a good day, you have to have a good breakfast. That’s always my mantra everyday for my husband. ‘I want you to have a good day so I will give you a better breakfast.”
